Our Approach

Effective date:

Global Skills Exchange is committed to transparent and fair cancellation arrangements.

We recognise that international educational programmes represent a significant financial commitment for families.

Our cancellation terms will be clearly communicated before a booking is confirmed and will comply with applicable consumer and travel legislation.

Expressions of Interest

Submitting an expression of interest is free and does not create a booking or payment obligation.

Families may withdraw an expression of interest at any time.

Cancellation by a Parent or Guardian

Parents and guardians may request cancellation by contacting Global Skills Exchange in writing.

Any cancellation charges will be based on the agreed booking terms and applicable law.

Before bookings open, we will publish a clear schedule explaining how charges are calculated, the relevant cancellation deadlines and any applicable refund entitlements.

Where statutory rights provide a more favourable outcome, those rights will take precedence.

Cancellation by Global Skills Exchange

If Global Skills Exchange cancels a programme, affected families will be notified as promptly as possible.

Refunds, alternative arrangements and any other applicable remedies will be provided in accordance with the booking contract and relevant legal requirements.

We will not retain payments where doing so would breach applicable consumer or travel law.

Significant Programme Changes

Where a significant change is proposed before departure, families will be informed of the available options and their legal rights.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable legislation, these may include accepting the change, an eligible alternative or cancelling with an appropriate refund.

Visa Refusal and Travel Documentation

Visa refusals and travel documentation problems will be handled in accordance with the published booking terms, the circumstances of the cancellation and applicable legal rights.

Families should not assume that a visa refusal automatically results in either a full refund or forfeiture of all payments.

Relevant evidence may be requested to assess the circumstances.

Illness or Medical Withdrawal

Families should inform Global Skills Exchange promptly if a participant becomes unable to travel for medical reasons.

Refund eligibility will depend on the agreed terms, relevant circumstances and applicable law.

Travel insurance may provide additional protection, subject to policy conditions.

8. Disruption and Exceptional Circumstances

Travel disruption, serious safety concerns, extraordinary circumstances and other events affecting programme delivery will be handled according to applicable contractual and statutory obligations.

Global Skills Exchange will prioritise student safety and provide timely information to affected families.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be made through an agreed payment method within the timeframe required by applicable law or, where no mandatory period applies, the timeframe stated in the final booking terms.

Any lawful deductions will be explained clearly.
